In Delhi, a female journalist has accused ACP Vivek Bhagat of sexual harassment and shoving during her coverage. CJP protesters are demonstrating outside the Parliament Street police station.
A female journalist has accused ACP Vivek Bhagat of sexual harassment and shoving while covering a protest against Chief Election Commissioner Gyanesh Kumar in Delhi on Saturday. The entire matter has now sparked controversy. CJP spokesperson Saurav Das said that a delegation with the victim is currently inside the police station.
Sourav said he was accompanied by Ratna Singh, Brinda Karat, Aishe Ghosh, and Rishabh Ranjan. “We have asked a senior official to be present at the meeting,” he said.

Earlier, Saurav had said, “The complainant, the victim, is here with her lawyers and the rest of us. Why won’t they talk to us? We’ve given them two or three minutes. Otherwise, we’ll force our way in.”

Saurav further stated that he was outside the Parliament Street Police Station. The police are not willing to meet the victim who was molested by ACP Vivek Bhagat. This is unacceptable at all. “We will remain here until they let us in,” he said.
What has Delhi Police said in this entire matter?
While protesters continue to demand action against the ACP, the Delhi Police say they have received three such complaints. They were handed over to the Crime Branch for investigation on Sunday, October 4th.
On 03-10-26, during the protest in New Delhi area, while being in law and order situation, allegations of sexual harassment were made by three female journalists against police officers.
New Delhi District has received their complaints and the same are transferred to Crime Branch for fair and impartial enquiry.

A Delhi Police official stated that numerous camerapersons were present. If the incident occurred, there should be evidence of it. This complaint is being filed to target the police.
