The Indian Embassy in Oman said on Friday that it coordinated the rescue operation that brought the five Indian nationals to safety. The Embassy also expressed its gratitude to the Omani authorities for their continued support and assistance in the operation.
The embassy stated on the social media platform X that the tanker MT Kazimah III was hit by a projectile in the Strait of Hormuz. Five Indian nationals aboard the tanker were subsequently safely transported to shore. The embassy said the rescue operation was carried out in cooperation with Omani authorities.

The MT Kazimah III is a crude oil tanker currently operating under the Kuwaiti flag. The tanker was headed to the port of Lomé, Togo. Following the projectile strike, the Indian Mission coordinated an immediate rescue operation to ensure the safety of Indian citizens on board.
