Iran-Israel Ceasefire: 'Will not bow down to anyone', why did Iranian Supreme Leader Khamenei give this big statement just before the ceasefire

Iran’s Supreme Leader Ayatollah Khamenei issued a strong statement on X, in which he said that Iran will not bow to anyone and will not accept oppression.

Iran-Israel Ceasefire: After 12 days of continuous conflict between Iran and Israel, a ceasefire has been done with the mediation of America and Qatar. Just before the announcement of the ceasefire, Iran’s Supreme Leader Ayatollah Khamenei posted on Twitter (formerly Twitter) and wrote that we have not harmed anyone. We will not accept any oppression from anyone under any circumstances and we will not bow down to anyone. This is the logic of the Iranian nation.

On one hand, US President Donald Trump has announced a ceasefire between Iran and Israel, on the other hand, Iran has again fired ballistic missiles at Israel on Tuesday (24 June 2025). The Israel Defense Forces (IDF) has said that on Tuesday morning, Iran fired six missiles at Israel in two attacks. The first attack included two missiles, while the second attack had four missiles. In the second attack, an apartment block in Beersheba was targeted. After the ballistic missile was launched by Iran, sirens started ringing in some areas of northern, central and southern Israel.

US President Donald Trump’s post

These attacks have taken place at a time when just a few hours ago US President Donald Trump had announced a ceasefire between Iran and Israel. He wrote on ‘Truth’, congratulations to all, a complete and final ceasefire has been agreed upon between Iran and Israel. The ceasefire will begin in six hours. Iran will have to comply first. Trump further wrote, Israel will also join this ceasefire 12 hours after Iran abides by the ceasefire. The war will be formally considered over after 24 hours.

America’s attack on Iran
America attacked Iran’s three major nuclear sites Natanz, Fordo and Esfahan at 4.30 am on Sunday (22 June 2025) as per Indian time. Trump had then said that Iran should now agree to end the conflict. Along with this, he had clearly said that if Iran does not establish peace, then more big attacks will be carried out on it.
