J35-A: In today’s changing global security situation, military technology is developing rapidly. Just as Iran recently demonstrated its military capability with its long-range ballistic missile ‘Khorramshahr-4’, Pakistan is also rapidly arming itself keeping its neighbors in mind. Especially, the modern weapons and fighter jets that Pakistan is getting from China have taken the strength of its Air Force to new heights. The most popular name among these weapons is the J-35A stealth fighter jet.
What is J-35A?
The J-35A is a next-generation stealth fighter jet developed by China with the help of its domestic defense manufacturer AVIC (Aviation Industry Corporation of China). It is classified as a fifth-generation fighter jet which is technically considered to be equivalent to the US F-35. The acquisition of this aircraft by Pakistan will not only strengthen its air power but will also give it more confidence in front of rival countries like India.
Technical strength and stealth technology
The biggest feature of J-35A is its stealth technology. Its design is such that it does not come under the radar easily, due to which it can enter the enemy territory and complete the mission without getting caught. This aircraft is equipped with dual engines and its speed can reach up to 1.8 Mach. It can operate in the air at a range of more than 2000 kilometers.
Weapon Systems
This fighter jet is equipped with air-to-air missiles, air-to-ground laser-guided bombs and advanced radar systems. It includes long-range missiles like PL-15 and PL-10 which have the capability to destroy enemy fighter jets from a long distance. This gives Pakistan the power to hit targets from a long distance.
Danger for India?
If Pakistan adds modern fighter jets like J-35A to its fleet, it can become a strategic threat to India. Although India has advanced fighter jets like Rafale and Tejas, Pakistan’s growing power with the help of China cannot be taken lightly.
